Kyiv • UNN
The bugging of the office of Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhnyi is seen as an attempt by the enemy to learn combat plans, said Yusov, a representative of the Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, emphasizing the ongoing efforts of counterintelligence.
The wiretap found in the office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi is an attempt by the enemy to obtain information about the plans of the Defense Forces on the battlefield. This was stated by a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Andriy Yusov in a national telethon, UNN reports.
He emphasized that the Russians are currently trying to obtain information in various ways and study the further plans of Ukrainian troops in confronting the occupiers.
"This is, of course, a high-profile event. The counterintelligence agencies, the SBU in particular, have to look into this situation. The war is on and the enemy is trying to get information and study our plans in various ways," the DIU representative said on air.
He noted that tools such as listening devices are cheaper for Russian special services and can save huge resources on the front line.
According to Yusov, the intelligence service is currently awaiting the results of the investigation.
