Ukraine is working on obtaining PAC-2 and PAC-3 anti-ballistic missiles for Patriot - Fedorov

Ukraine is working to obtain anti-ballistic missiles for Patriot systems as quickly as possible. Thanks to Germany, a large contract for PAC-2 GMT and PAC-3 missiles was concluded. However, deliveries under this contract are planned no earlier than next year. Ukraine's Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov told journalists this during a joint press conference with Sweden's Defense Minister Pål Jonson, reports UNN.

Details

We want to borrow these missiles from some countries now, in order to return them later. I will say that during the first Ramstein meeting, we did this work to attract missiles from the stocks of EU countries. This is very hard work — we simply asked each country for one, two, three missiles, and those few dozen missiles helped repel Russian attacks in February-March

- Fedorov's statement reads.

The minister added: it is important for Ukraine to create its own anti-ballistic missile, where the country will depend only on how much it invests in its own production.

Reminder

Head of the Ministry of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov reported that Ukraine will receive 16 Gripen fighter jets as a "donation" from Sweden as early as the beginning of next year.
