Ukraine expects to sign agreements worth over 10 billion euros over the next two days at a reconstruction conference in Poland, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said on Thursday, as the European Union transferred the first tranche of a major loan to Ukraine, reports UNN.

160 agreements worth over 10 billion euros will be concluded at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026

- Svyrydenko wrote on social media.

Within the framework of the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 in Gdansk, according to her, the following are planned:

  • signing of about 160 agreements and announcements of over 30 partnerships totaling more than 10 billion euros;
    • participation of over 80 Ukrainian companies in the largest URC business fair in history, together with 2,000 business representatives from around the world;
      • launch of a new format of the Energy Platform, which will become a permanent tool for mobilizing international support for our energy sector.

        "Opening the event, I noted that our main priorities are security, energy resilience, private sector development, and attracting investment. After all, Ukraine's recovery is not just about rebuilding what was destroyed. It is an investment in a strong Europe. That is why strengthening the Ukrainian defense industry is a priority. Our defense industry today creates modern military technologies that have proven their effectiveness on the battlefield and are already working to strengthen European security," she said.

        "It is symbolic that the URC is taking place in Polish Gdansk – a city where solidarity has already triumphed. 'There is no freedom without solidarity' — a slogan that is again relevant in times of shared security challenges," Svyrydenko wrote.

        Separately, the Prime Minister thanked "European partners for the critically important financial instrument to support Ukraine worth 90 billion euros," from which the first tranche of 3.2 billion euros was announced in Gdansk. "This is another signal of trust in Ukraine and support for our reforms," Svyrydenko stated.

        The funds have already been transferred to the State Budget and, according to Svyrydenko, will be directed towards strengthening our defense capabilities and social resilience.

        As the government indicated, Yulia Svyrydenko has already met with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, and also spoke with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on the sidelines of the conference.

        Von der Leyen, in turn, as Reuters notes, said that the promised investment fund for Ukraine's reconstruction, supported by the EU, France, Germany, and Poland, is also "ready to go" and could mobilize about 500 million euros this year.

        "The message we are sending to investors is simple," she said. "When you invest in Ukraine, you are investing not only in Ukraine's future but also in Europe's future."

        Rebuilding Ukraine's economy will cost approximately 588 billion dollars over the next decade, the World Bank, the United Nations, the European Commission, and the Ukrainian government said in February.

        Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that the choice of Gdansk as the conference venue is symbolic, as it was rebuilt after the destruction of World War II.

        Tusk, it is reported, sought to ease tensions between Kyiv and Warsaw after the decision regarding the Polish order.
