The U.S. has handed over 18 autotransformers to Ukraine to restore power grids

The United States has provided Ukrenergo with 18 high-voltage autotransformers to restore power grids after Russian attacks. Some of the equipment is already in operation, providing electricity to millions of Ukrainians.
To restore the power grid after the Russian attacks, the United States has transferred 18 high-voltage autotransformers to the Ukrenergo main grid . This was stated by US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, UNN reports.

Brink emphasized that while Russia is trying to destroy Ukraine's energy grid, the partners are determined to restore it.
I am proud that USAID has procured 18 autotransformers, and that is not all. These actions will help preserve Ukraine's power grid despite Russia's attacks and provide electricity to 38 million Ukrainians

NPC Ukrenergo emphasized that part of this equipment is already in operation at Ukrenergo's facilities, providing electricity to the homes of millions of Ukrainians.
The new autotransformers are part of a large joint project of USAID and NPC Ukrenergo to restore Ukrainian energy facilities after Russian attacks
The agency added that the ability to replace equipment damaged by missiles and drones with new ones is the most important means of protecting Ukraine's energy security after air defense.

"Ukrenergo has signed an agreement with KfW on a €100 million grant from the EU to restore and protect energy infrastructure. The funds will be used to modernize substations, repair damaged equipment, and enhance security at the facilities.
