According to ISW, Russian "war correspondents" claimed that Putin's troops were attacking in the Kursk region near Oleshnya (southwest of Sudzha) and Gogolevka, as well as in the north of the Sumy region near Volodymyrivka, Veselivka and near Zhuravka. In addition, Russian bloggers reported that the Defense Forces of Ukraine are holding positions in the southern part of Guyevo, Gornal (south of Guyevo) and Oleshnya.
Analysts report that the Defense Forces of Ukraine recently advanced in the northwest of the Belgorod region. According to geolocated footage published on March 28, the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced in the eastern part of Popovka (northwest of the city of Belgorod).
