Kyiv • UNN
The interdepartmental Commission found that the reasons for the abnormal operation of 120-mm mines are a decrease in temperature and high humidity. The defective batch of Mines was recalled to the factory for replacement.
The interdepartmental Commission to investigate the abnormal operation of 120-mm mines called a decrease in temperature and high humidity the main reasons for the incidents. This was stated by a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on national security, defense and intelligence Fyodor Venislavsky "Public", reports UNN.
The MP confirmed that a number of abnormal mine failures were detected, which were supplied by certain manufacturers for the security and defense sector.
An interdepartmental commission was formed, which included representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of strategic industry, representatives of the components of the security and defense sector. The commission found out the reasons. The relevant report of this commission has been sent to the national security and Development Committee. I can't divulge the details, but in general, it turned out that the main reasons are low temperatures and high humidity. In dry weather conditions, these mines did not give any failures
According to him, all the mines from the batch were recalled to the plant and the manufacturer pledged to put new mines in the near future, instead of the seized ones, and they "will undergo a thorough additional inspection.
"I will not name the number of Mines. These are all mines of the batch that had an abnormal operation. Quantity is classified information. The company is already fulfilling its obligations to replace these mines," the MP said.
According to him, it is the work of law enforcement agencies to determine whether this is an offense.
"To say that the plant did not produce correctly is quite serious accusations, let the law enforcement agencies deal with this," Venislavsky said.
At the same time, he stressed that there are no systemic problems with ammunition.
There are a number of factors with the conditions of manufacture and storage. All these reasons are included in the commission's report. There are no systemic problems with this situation, but more attention will be paid in the future to check the quality of Mines, production conditions, storage and use
Venislavsky noted that the facts with the emergency operation of mines began in November.
Also, one of the teams working in the Pokrovsky direction, "Suspilny" confirmed information about such incidents, in particular in November. According to the source, all the cases really occurred with mines of the same batch.
One defense ministry official told Suspilny that hundreds of thousands of ammunition were received from the manufacturer, and problems arose with one batch. At the same time, the examination will take some time, since there are many sub-producers in ammunition.
