Registration of fictitious disabilities: two more prosecutors and two officials of the MSEC received suspicion

Two prosecutors and two officials of the Medicinal Inspectorate of Ukraine were notified of suspicion in connection with the scheme to obtain fictitious disabilities. The prosecutors illegally received over UAH 1.4 million in pension payments.
Two prosecutors have been notified of suspicion of fraud for illegally obtaining a Group II disability. Two officials of the MSEC who facilitated the scheme were also suspected. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office ,UNN reports.
Prosecutors of the General Inspectorate of the Prosecutor General's Office, in the course of investigating criminal proceedings regarding the facts of unlawful receipt of disability groups by prosecutors of various levels, served two prosecutors with fraud suspicion notices (Article 190(4) and (5) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Also, two officials of medical and social expert commissions were notified of suspicion of forgery (part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)
According to the investigation, the head and deputy head of district prosecutor's offices in different regions of the country illegally received the status of persons with disabilities of group II. As a result, one suspect fraudulently seized more than UAH 1 million in pension payments, and the other - more than UAH 400 thousand.
It was also established that the officials of the MSEC unreasonably assigned the prosecutors the second group of disability for an indefinite period of time.
The issue of choosing a preventive measure and removing the suspects from their positions is currently being decided.
In addition, it is reported that an internal investigation into possible abuses of disability groups by prosecutors has been completed, and its findings have been attached to the materials of the criminal proceedings. In the course of the investigation, 5 prosecutors were dismissed from the prosecutor's office, and another 7 were dismissed from administrative positions.

The Office of the Prosecutor General reported on an internal investigation into possible abuses by prosecutors in obtaining disability groups. Cherkasy and Khmelnytskyi regions have the highest percentage of prosecutors with disability status.
Currently, 831 employees work in the prosecutor's office of Ukraine, of whom 524 have the status of a person with a disability . Most prosecutors with disabilities work in regional and district prosecutor's offices - 496.
