Ramstein format evolves to focus on long-term defense support for Ukraine

The Ramstein format is shifting toward long-term support for Ukraine with systematic planning of defense capabilities in areas such as aviation and maritime security. More than 50 countries cooperate with Ukraine under the updated Ramstein 2.0 format.
The Ramstein format is evolving to long-term support projects, which is a a very important step. Hennadii Kovalenko, Head of the Department of International Hennadii Kovalenko, Head of the Department of International Defense Cooperation, is convinced of this. His words are quoted by Military Media Center, reports UNN.
We are talking about the transition from meeting immediate needs to more systematic, systematic, planned, long-term work.

Colonel Kovalenko also noted, referring to the words of the Deputy Secretary of Defense, that since September, Ukraine's allies have actually started working in the "Ramstein 2.0" format. As of November 2023, this format unites 54 countries. This means that Ukraine will work with its allies in five long-term coalitions of capabilities to support our country's defense capabilities. In particular, we are talking about work in the areas of aviation, air defense, tank, artillery, and maritime security coalitions.
Head of the Press and Information Department of the Ministry of Defense Illarion Pavlu emphasized that the partners are well aware of Ukraine's needs: they are clearly classified, divided into urgent, immediate projects and long-term needs.
