MHP is one of the three most efficient agricultural holdings in Ukraine.

Forbes Ukraine, together with KSE and YouControl, has identified the 20 most efficient agricultural holdings in Ukraine. MHP is among the top three, UNN reports.

Details

Thus, MHP has one of the highest shares of processing and revenue among the participants of the list - 95%. During the two years of war, the largest producer and exporter of chicken in Ukraine increased its annual investments in the agricultural sector by 1.8 times, to $263 million.

In addition to MHP, the top three companies are Kernel and Eridon. Founded in 1993, Eridon is the leader of the Ukrainian seed and crop protection market with a share of about 30%. The group includes companies that distribute and service agricultural machinery, agricultural engineering, and agricultural production enterprises.

In turn, Kernel lost its status as Ukraine's largest agricultural holding in terms of land bank. In April 2022, Kernel's board of directors allowed its founder and major shareholder, Andriy Verevsky, to buy out 30% of the company's land bank, or 134,000 hectares, from his own company. The company received $210 million, which was planned to be spent on debt service. Instead, it lost its status as Ukraine's largest agricultural holding in terms of land bank.
