After the repairs, a nuclear unit was connected to the power grid, which will reduce the power shortage. In the western and southern regions, the restrictions are in effect from 18:00 to 24:00, while in the rest of the country they are in place around the clock.

One of the nuclear power units has been connected to the power grid after scheduled repairs. In some regions in the west and south, the restrictions will not apply until 18:00, the Energy Ministry said on Wednesday, UNN reports.

"One of the nuclear power units at one of the NPPs has been connected to the power grid after scheduled repairs were completed ahead of schedule. This will significantly affect the stability of the power system and reduce the existing electricity shortage," the Ministry of Energy said.

As indicated, in the western and partially southern regions, power supply restrictions are scheduled for the period from 18:00 to 24:00. In all other regions, the restrictions are in effect from 0:00 to 24:00.

Networks status

Over the past 24 hours, a high-voltage overhead line was briefly disconnected three times in the western region due to technological failures. Consumers were not cut off from power supply.

In Vinnytsia Oblast, a 21-year-old electrician working in the operation of distribution networks was electrocuted when he approached electrical equipment at a dangerous distance. The employee suffered burns and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

De-energization

Due to severe weather conditions, 7 settlements in Dnipropetrovs'k region are without power supply. 

The power company supplied electricity to 31,190 consumers who were cut off as a result of hostilities and technological disruptions.

In total, 512 settlements remain without electricity due to the hostilities and technical violations.

Situation at ZNPP

The water level in the cooling pond is 14.84 meters. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.

Import and export

The company plans to import 1,321 MW of electricity from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Moldova.

There is no export and no plans to export.
