In the occupied Luhansk region, the invaders have illegally appropriated more than 300 hectares of farmland in 10 months. Starting in March 2025, it is planned to confiscate plots where no economic activity has been conducted for 2 years.
The occupiers in Luhansk region have started "nationalizing" land. This is reported by the Center of National Resistance, UNN reports.
Details
In the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk region, the invaders have intensified the process of illegal appropriation of Ukrainian land. The occupation authorities have created so-called "commissions" that take away land and property from local residents who were forced to leave their homes due to the aggression of the terrorist country.
Over the past ten months, enemy troops have appropriated more than 300 hectares of agricultural land without any legal basis, entering it into their registers. This is part of the occupiers' systemic policy aimed at changing the demographic and economic situation in the region.
According to the aggressor's plans, from March 1, 2025, they will begin to seize plots for construction or subsidiary farming if no economic activity has been conducted on these lands over the past two years. This will allow the invaders to further consolidate their control over local resources and effectively destroy any trace of Ukrainian ownership in these territories.
