Ten new alleged victims of Jeffrey Epstein have contacted the French police. The investigation is examining the financier's crimes in France and the role of local citizens.

As part of the French investigation into the network of the late sex offender and American financier Jeffrey Epstein, nearly ten new potential victims have emerged. This was reported by France24 with reference to the Paris Prosecutor's Office, according to UNN.

France launched a human trafficking investigation after the U.S. Department of Justice released a new archive of investigation files regarding the disgraced financier in January.
He had been charged with trafficking underage girls for sexual purposes. Epstein died in prison in 2019.
French judicial investigators plan to probe alleged crimes committed in France or involving French citizens who facilitated the American's crimes.
Paris Chief Prosecutor Laure Beccuau stated that a total of about 20 people have contacted law enforcement after she called on potential victims in February not to remain silent.
Some of them were already known to investigators, she told the RTL television channel.
French investigators searched Epstein's luxury Paris apartment in September 2019, more than a month after he hanged himself in a New York prison.
Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting a girl under the age of 18 for prostitution and served 13 months in prison before being released on probation.
