Head of Syria's interim government is al-Bashir

Mohamed al-Bashir is appointed acting Prime Minister of Syria until March 2025. Following the capture of Damascus by rebels and Assad's flight to Russia, the country is transitioning to a transitional government.
Mohamed al-Bashir has been appointed acting prime minister of Syria for the transitional government until March. Al-Bashir said this in a televised statement on Tuesday, UNN reports citing Reuters.
Mohammed Al-Bashir has been appointed interim prime minister of the Syrian transitional government until March 1, 2025.
Al Hadath writes that after the appointment of Mohammed Al-Bashir, the government held its first meetings in the capital Damascus in the presence of prime minister and former prime minister Muhammad al-Jalali.
In a sign that the next phase has begun to take shape, the people's Assembly declared its support for the will of the people to build a "new Syria," and Baath Party Secretary General Ibrahim Al-Hadid said: "We will continue to support the transition phase in Syria aimed at protecting the unity of the land, people, institutions and potential of the country.
In 2021, after the Syrian uprising against Bashar al-Assad, Al-Bashir joined the "ranks of revolutionaries in the military sphere".
Between 2022 and 2023, Muhammad al-Bashir served as Minister of development and Humanitarian Affairs, and later as prime minister in the "government of national salvation" in Idlib. That is, in the territory that was controlled by the largest opposition organization, the KHTS, before the overthrow of Assad and the capture of Damascus.
