Five collection boxes and tobacco boxes: criminals with axes steal from a museum in Paris

Four masked criminals stole five 18th-century collection boxes from the Cognac-Jeux Museum in Paris. The theft occurred in front of visitors, and the attackers smashed the cases with axes and baseball bats.
Rare objects of the XVIII century were stolen from the Cognac-Gé museum in Paris almost in front of visitors. This was reported by the newspaper Le Parisien, according to UNN.

According to the newspaper, the theft occurred at around 10:30 local time, when the museum was open to the public. Four masked and hooded robbers with axes and baseball bats broke into the building, smashed the windows and stole five collector's boxes and tobacco boxes that are about 300 years old.
According to the Paris City Hall, the municipal police intervened immediately after the events and no one was injured. The Paris mayor's office also issued a press release stating that it “strongly condemns this violent action”.
A special group of psychologists is working with law enforcement officers and museum visitors involved in the incident. The Paris prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the incident.
