Since the launch of the eChezha system in August 2023, 100 thousand buses have already crossed the border by online registration in the eChezha system. UNN reports this with reference to the Ministry of Reconstruction.
Details
According to the agency, the service is available at 28 checkpoints. At 16 of them, carriers choose the time of crossing the border by bus in accordance with the schedule. These are all checkpoints with Romania (five in total), ten with Moldova, and Yahodyn-Dorohusk with Poland.
At another 12 checkpoints, the system operates on a "check in and check out" basis. This helps to record the load on the border and verify the implementation of bus routes.
The Ministry of Reconstruction indicated that the possibility of choosing the time of crossing the border will be extended to other checkpoints in the future.
Reportedly, since the launch of eCheck in August 2023, more than half of the buses have crossed the border with Poland - more than 61 thousand border crossings. Also, buses crossed the border with Romania 13 thousand times and more than 12 thousand times with Moldova.
