A Pakistani cargo Boeing 737 with five crew members on board disappeared from radar near the coast of Karachi after a report of a navigation system malfunction. This was reported by Bloomberg, citing the Pakistan Airports Authority, writes UNN.

The aircraft of K2 Airways was operating a flight from Sharjah (UAE) to Karachi. At 21:18 local time, the crew reported a problem with the navigation system to air traffic controllers.
Despite attempts by air traffic controllers to assist the crew, within three minutes the aircraft began to rapidly lose altitude and sharply changed course. Subsequently, radio contact and radar contact were lost approximately 155 nautical miles (287 km) west of Karachi.

The Pakistan Airports Authority reported that after the incident, the Rescue Coordination Center was activated. A search and rescue operation at sea is ongoing with the participation of several government agencies.
