Donald Trump announced an increase in tariffs on goods from China to 125%. He also announced a 90-day pause on the introduction of new US tariffs and a reduction in mutual tariffs by 10%.

US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday, April 9, that he had authorized a 90-day pause on the introduction of new US tariffs and raised them to 125% for China due to "lack of respect." He wrote about this in his Truth Social social network, UNN reports.
Given the disrespect that China has shown to world markets, I am raising the tariffs charged on China by the United States to 125%, effective immediately. At some point, I hope in the near future, China will realize that the days of robbing the US and other countries are no longer sustainable or acceptable
He added that, given the fact that more than 75 countries have called on US representatives to resolve the tariff issue, he has authorized a 90-day pause on the introduction of new US tariffs, as well as a substantial reduction in mutual tariffs by 10% during this period, which also takes effect immediately.
Let us remind you
China will increase additional tariffs on American imports from 34% to 84% from April 10. This is a response to the new US restrictions, which provide for tariffs of 104% on Chinese imports.
