Olga Stefanishyna discussed reform steps and minority rights protection with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, agreeing to cooperate on sectoral legislation. This is of key importance for Ukraine's further accession to the EU without strategic changes.

In the second tweet under her post about the meeting with Siyarto, Stefanishyna also noted that on Friday the Ukrainian parliament voted for important changes to the sectoral legislation, developed in the course of a broad inclusive dialog.

Context

It is extremely important for Ukraine to enlist Hungary's support in European integration course of our country. After all, in mid-December, 27 leaders of the EU member states are to decide whether to accept the European Commission's recommendation to invite Ukraine to start membership negotiations as soon as it fulfills the final conditions.
