The National Reserve “Taras Shevchenko's Homeland” restored authentic buildings of the XIX century. Philanthropists renovated the roofs of houses in Kerelivka, the museum complex in Morintsy, and repaired a historic windmill in Budyshche.

The MHP-Hromada Charitable Foundation and the Ecological Movement of Cherkasy Region Public Association have restored facilities on the territory of the Taras Shevchenko Homeland National Reserve, UNN reports.
Details
The cultural complex unites the villages of Moryntsi, Shevchenkove, Budyshche, and Vilshana. These are the places of Kobzar's childhood.
The cherry orchard near the house is here. I turned 13 here. Also here is Dyaka's house, where Shevchenko learned to read and write. With the sponsorship of the MHP Community Foundation, thanks to the caring people who work for MHP, we were able to restore the roofs of the houses in Kerelivka village and the entire museum complex in Morintsy
The vast majority of buildings and exhibits are authentic, so they need careful maintenance. The importance of restoring Ukraine's cultural fund was discussed at MHP Community.
Buildings that are identified with the beginning of Taras Shevchenko's life, and then with the life of his family, buildings that are part of the National Reserve "Taras Shevchenko's Homeland" must be preserved. They should not suffer from the influence of external conditions, from external factors. Therefore, this is probably one of the most important and most demanded tasks for us today
A few kilometers away from the museum building is the Budyshcha Windmill. The structure is truly unique. It is the only one of 28 windmills that has survived from Taras Hryhorovych's childhood to the present day. Last year, with the support of the MHP Community Foundation and the Ecological Movement NGO, the damaged doors and wings of the mill were replaced.
The second stage of the windmill's restoration and renovation has been completed. The third stage will include landscaping: parking spaces for cars, a pedestrian crossing, etc. This will be done next year. We will make everything beautiful
