New power outages in six regions due to Russian attacks

New power outages caused by Russian attacks have been recorded as of the morning of October 26 in six regions of Ukraine. The schedules remain in effect. This was reported by NEC "Ukrenergo" on Monday, UNN writes.

Enemy shelling

"Over the past day, the enemy continued to attack Ukraine's civilian energy infrastructure. As a result, as of this morning, there are new power outages in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions," Ukrenergo reported.

As stated, emergency restoration work is already underway wherever security conditions currently allow. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power to all consumers who have been disconnected as soon as possible.

Schedules

"To prevent overloading equipment damaged by previous Russian shelling, in some regions today until the end of the day, capacity restriction schedules for industry and hourly outage schedules (up to 2.5 rounds) for all categories of consumers will be applied as a necessary measure," Ukrenergo noted.

Consumption

According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption has decreased. Today, October 26, as of 09:30, it was 5.8% lower than at the same time on the previous working day—Friday, October 23. The reason for the change is the necessary restrictions caused by enemy attacks.

Yesterday, October 25, the daily consumption peak was recorded in the evening. It was 4.8% higher than the maximum recorded on the previous Sunday—October 18. This was caused by a drop in air temperature, prompting consumers to use electric heaters in the evening hours.

"Given the consequences of Russian shelling and the weather conditions, the need for economical electricity consumption during the evening hours remains. Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances from 16:00 to 22:00," Ukrenergo urged.
