Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, has announced a personnel purge in the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council to save up to UAH 18 million annually, which will allow the purchase of more than 1,000 drones for defense.

The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, has announced a personnel purge in the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council, which is being run by the Zaporizhzhia RMA. It is planned to dismiss two deputy chairmen of the regional council and reduce the staff, which will save up to UAH 18 million a year. This was reported by Fedorov on his Telegram channel, according to UNN.

This week, the head of the regional military administration was registered as the main signatory on all issues of the regional council. This week, 2 out of 3 deputies of the regional council will be laid off. This week, a new structure will be signed, in which we will reduce the staff of the regional council from 90 employees to 45. This will allow us to save at least 14 million hryvnias already this year, which we can definitely spend on defense and support of our Armed Forces of Ukraine

He notes that one deputy of the regional council cost the community budget of Zaporizhzhia region at least UAH 2 million. Fedorov also added that the money saved on the regional council officials who did not work during the two years of full-scale war could be used to purchase more than 1,000 FPV drones. In addition, he said, halving the number of regional council officials would save up to UAH 4 million a year.

Recall

In March, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a draft resolution that provides for the transfer of powers of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, headed by Ivan Fedorov.  The transfer of powers will allow the ZRMA to manage property, land, personnel and address urgent needs in the frontline region.
