In the evening hours in Ukrainian energy system may have a shortage – Ukrenergo

Due to bad weather, 191 settlements in Ukraine are de-energized, and a potential electricity shortage is forecast in the evening. Ukrenergo asks to save on electricity consumption, despite the fact that repair work continues, and imported capacities have increased.

As of this morning On November 30, 191 settlements in Ukraine remain de-energized due to bad weather item. There may be a shortage of electricity in the evening. This is reported by the press service Nek "Ukrenergo", reports UNN.

Details

"Ukrenergo" reports, that the Ukrainian energy system is experiencing an overload, so the Dispatch Center predicts electricity shortage in the evening hours from 16:00 to 18: 00 and calls for consumption electricity is economical. The reasons are a decrease in the production of "green" generation and the simultaneous restoration of consumption in settlements that were de-energized due to bad weather. At the same time, the agency notes that the use of schedules no outages are predicted.

Regarding the consequences bad weather-in total, 191 settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Cherkasy, and Sumy regions remain de-energized in the morning .

Due to fighting and other reasons, it remains without electricity 442 inhabited items. Because of the shelling there are new damages in regional power networks in Donetsk region, Kharkiv, Kherson regions. Emergency recovery work is carried out depending on the security situation and with the permission of the military.

Separately, it is noted that the repair teams of Ukrenergo returned to work all main high-voltage lines of the 330 KV voltage class in the southern region that were damaged due to bad weather. The reliability of the region's power supply has been fully restored.

Regarding electricity production:

Electricity generated Ukrainian power plants, so far enough to meet the needs of domestic and legal consumers. Sunny weather contributes to the production of more the volume of electricity generated by solar power plants.

But it is noted that at night artillery attacks were damaged thermal power plant (CHPP) in the southern region. Despite the destruction of buildings and equipment, the heat supply to consumers did not stop, although the possibilities for electricity supply are limited.

Exports, as indicated, are not available today.

Import electricity today it is carried out mainly at night and in the evening from Slovakia, Romania, Moldova. The total volume is 690 MWh, with a maximum capacity of individual hours up to 275 MW. From November 28 technical possibility of import electricity from Europe to Ukraine and Moldova increased to 1,700 MW.
