China is secretly building large-scale nuclear facilities in Sichuan province - CNN

A large-scale construction of strategic nuclear facilities has been discovered in China's Sichuan province. This is reported by UNN with reference to a CNN investigation.

Details

Structures to support key nuclear capabilities were erected on the site of villages destroyed in 2022. In particular, a giant dome with an area of over 3300 km² was built on the bank of the Tongjiang River - according to media reports, it is intended for working with uranium and plutonium, which are highly radioactive materials.

This facility has three layers of fencing, blast-proof doors, radiation monitoring systems, and an extensive network of tunnels in the mountain range. The facility is also called "zone 906".

Official Beijing announced a defense spending plan for 2026 totaling 1.91 trillion yuan. This amounts to approximately 277 billion dollars.

At the same time, according to the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, the Chinese government has adopted the 15th five-year development plan for 2026-2030, which provides for large-scale industrialization of high-tech sectors. The main priorities are artificial intelligence, humanoid robotics, and space technologies.
