French state-owned railroad company SNCF has suffered a variety of sabotage attacks that were discovered on Friday morning. Several "simultaneous malicious acts" were committed overnight, affecting the LGV Atlantique, Nord and Est, SNCF announced.
As a result of the railroad disruption, about 800,000 passengers were stranded at train stations.
The TGV service from Paris from Montparnasse station to Brittany and southwestern Bordeaux was the most affected. For a long time, there was almost no train traffic at the station, but it resumed in the afternoon.
