122 people were repatriated from the MV Hondius following a hantavirus outbreak. The body of the deceased passenger remains on board until the liner's arrival in Rotterdam.

A total of 122 people have already been repatriated from the cruise ship MV Hondius, where an outbreak of hantavirus occurred. This was reported by Sky News with reference to the operator company Oceanwide Expeditions, according to UNN.

According to the company, the vessel has left Tenerife and is heading to Rotterdam, Netherlands, where it is scheduled to arrive on May 17. Upon arrival, the ship will undergo a complete disinfection.

As of now, 87 passengers and 35 crew members have been evacuated from the vessel. 25 crew members and two medical workers remain on board.

The operator also reported that the body of a German citizen, who died on board on May 2, is still on the vessel.

After the liner left the port of Tenerife, the head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, thanked the Spanish government for its assistance in evacuating the passengers and crew.
