Benjamin Netanyahu was born on October 21, 1949, in Tel Aviv, Israel. He studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earning a bachelor's degree in architecture and a master's degree in management, and also studied political science at Harvard University. He served in the elite Sayeret Matkal unit of the Israel Defense Forces, worked in the private sector, and was Israel's ambassador to the UN. He held ministerial positions, including Minister of Foreign Affairs and Finance, and led the Likud party, serving multiple terms as Prime Minister of Israel, starting in 1996, with his latest term beginning in December 2022.
