Ukrainians urged to save electricity in evening amid heat, Russian attacks cut power to parts of 7 regions

The Energy Ministry reported that no restrictions are forecast for August 4, but amid the heat, they advise shifting active consumption to daytime. Some residents of seven regions remain without power due to Russian attacks.
No power outage schedules are currently expected today, but Ukrainians have been urged to save electricity during the evening peak consumption amid the heat, while some residents of 7 regions remain without power due to Russian attacks, the Energy Ministry reported on Tuesday, writes UNN.

"As a result of hostilities and shelling of energy facilities, some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions are temporarily left without electricity supply," the statement reads.
Restoration work continues wherever the security situation allows. Energy workers are working to return power to Ukrainians' homes as soon as possible.
"No restrictions are forecast for today. Active energy consumption today should be shifted to daytime hours - from 10:00 to 16:00. In the evening hours, we ask consumers to use electricity sparingly if possible. This helps reduce the load on the system," the Energy Ministry stated.
According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption has increased. Today, August 4, as of 09:30, it was 1.9% higher than at the same time the previous day - Monday. The reason is the rise in air temperature, prompting consumers to actively use air conditioners. Yesterday, August 3, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 5.6% higher than the maximum of the previous working day - Friday, July 31. The reason is higher air temperature than last week.
