Ukrainians declared almost 300 firearms – National Police

Since November 25, citizens have declared almost 300 firearms and 10 thousand ammunition. Most weapons are declared in Zaporizhia, Kharkiv and Kiev regions.
Since November 25, almost 300 firearms, as well as 10 thousand ammunition for them, have been declared in the National Police by Ukrainians.
This was announced by the head of the Arms Control Department of the National Police Vyacheslav Savchenko on the air of the telethon, reports UNN.
Since the beginning of the declaration, which began on November 25, 2024, citizens who registered almost 300 firearms have applied to the territorial divisions of the National Police. We are also talking about 10 thousand ammunition for the corresponding weapon
He noted that citizens can not only declare weapons, but also hand them over.
To date, 17 firearms and about 3 thousand ammunition have already been handed over. We are talking primarily about rifled and smoothbore weapons
When asked which regions declare the most weapons, Savchenko said: "These are the regions that are involved in the conduct of hostilities.these are Zaporozhye, Kharkiv and Kiev regions."
He noted that since November 25, citizens are given a month to declare weapons.
In the future, the declaration will not be completed, it will continue, but this month we are talking primarily about weapons that were previously found or received by citizens
To declare a found or received firearm, you need to call 102 and submit a written application, passport, identification code, statement of residence/registration,photo 3.5x4. 5 to the nearest police department.
Supplement on November 25, the law of Ukraine "on ensuring the participation of civilians in the defense of Ukraine" came into force to improve the procedure for receiving, declaring and handling firearms.
