On Saturday, July 4, hundreds of masked members of the far-right group Patriot Front marched through the streets of Washington during the celebration of the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence. The Hill reports, UNN informs.

It is noted that about 700 participants of the far-right group Patriot Front gathered near Union Station and marched through Capitol Hill and the Eastern Market area.
The demonstrators, dressed in khaki, white face masks, sunglasses, and caps ... carried several flags: the American flag, the Confederate flag, and flags with the emblem of the "Patriotic Front." Some carried inverted American flags
A spokesman for the Washington police department said that "the police recognize the right of citizens to peacefully express their views and remain committed to maintaining public safety and order for residents and visitors of the District of Columbia."
