Serbia expects Russia to increase gas supplies under the new agreement

Serbia is discussing a new gas supply contract with Russia after the current one expires in March. The country seeks to increase the volume of supplies, while maintaining a balance in relations with Russia and Europe.
Serbia consumes about 3 billion cubic meters of gas a year, relying on Russia's Gazprom and its favorable prices. The country is currently negotiating with Russia to extend the contract.

Serbia is in talks with Russia to extend its natural gas supply contract, which expires in March, and aims to reach volumes similar to those stipulated in the current agreement with Gazprom.
rossmi reports that Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Vulin expects an increase in gas supplies from the Russian Federation.
"We have a very good position to talk about the economy, to talk with Russia about the gas agreement. We are asking for an increase in supplies," Vulin said.
Gas supplies from Russia to Serbia have already increased this winter, the deputy prime minister said on the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Forum in the United Arab Emirates in Ras Al Khaimah. He added that he does not expect any problems with the new agreement.
