The State Customs Service has announced the dismissal of two officials who were detained this week by law enforcement officers for committing corruption offenses, UNN reports.
"Today, by order of the State Customs Service, the director of the Department of Departmental Security and Control and his deputy, who were detained this week by law enforcement officers for committing corruption offenses, have been dismissed," the statement said.

Recall
On July 9, the Security Service, together with the Prosecutor General's Office, dismantled a large-scale corruption scheme in the Central Office of the State Customs Service.
As a result of complex measures, the Director of the Department of Departmental Security and Control of the State Customs Service and his deputy were detained in Kyiv.
According to the investigation, the officials systematically extorted illegal benefits from the heads of regional customs offices.
