Detainees at protest actions in Tbilisi are being taken to regional detention centers due to overcrowding of local residents. Some protesters are kept in police cars for hours, while relatives are still searching for the missing.

Tbilisi's detention centers are overcrowded, so those detained at the protest rally on Saturday night were distributed to the regions, and some were held for hours in police cars. This is reported by News Georgia with reference to the lawyers of the detainees, reports UNN.

According to lawyers, most of the detainees have injuries and bruises. Some participants of the action are still wanted by relatives and friends.

"I lost a friend. We parted at the Opera House, 5 minutes before the crackdown. He was walking in the direction of Mtatsminda along Lagiddze Street. His phone was on, now it's off, I need help. He was wearing a dark brown jacket and black trousers. Without a hat. My name is Vadim Bashakin," Lasha Shamugia, a resident of Tbilisi, writes on Facebook.

Lawyers do not rule out that due to overcrowded detention centers, detainees will be released today – before the end of the 48-hour period of administrative arrest.
