Kyiv police detained a 32-year-old woman who stole money and valuables while cleaning apartments. The suspect is involved in seven episodes of thefts totaling over UAH 270 thousand.

Kyiv police exposed the criminal activity of a woman who offered cleaning services to Kyiv residents and, using people's trust, stole their valuables. UNN writes with reference to the Kyiv Police.

A thief who stole valuables and money from apartments under the guise of a cleaning service was caught red-handed  after another cleaning job for regular customers. According to investigators, the suspect was taking 2300 USD and 13 thousand UAH from the apartment. 

Law enforcement officers detained the 32-year-old native of Cherkasy region in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and seized material evidence. So far, the police have proved the offender's involvement in seven episodes of criminal activity, and the total amount of damage caused to the three victims is more than UAH 270 thousand.

Investigators served the suspect a notice of suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - theft committed under martial law. The suspect faces up to eight years in prison for her crime.
