Kyiv • UNN
The EU has made progress in fulfilling its security commitments to Ukraine: discussions have begun and an EU representative will visit Kyiv next week for further talks.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell announces the start of discussions on the EU's security commitments to Ukraine and announces a visit to Kyiv next week by a representative of the bloc to discuss it with Ukrainian counterparts. He said this at a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in Brussels on Tuesday, UNN reports.
We have made progress in our security commitments for Ukraine. The Council (EU) has approved the framework. Today we started discussing it. And next week, the Assistant Secretary General for Security and Defense of the European External Action Service will travel to Kyiv to share it with our Ukrainian counterparts so that I can present it to the EU Council before the end of the year,
As a reminder,
on November 13, Borrell announced a mission to Kyiv in December with security proposals from the EU.
