Kyiv • UNN
Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets explained the rights of consumers to return and exchange goods purchased during Black Friday. Buyers have the right to exchange non-food products within 14 days, provided that their presentation is preserved.
Black Friday is a day when you can buy a lot of products at good discounts. In order for Black Friday to leave a pleasant impression, it is important to know what to do if the purchased product on Black Friday turned out to be of poor quality? The advice was shared by Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets in Telegram, writes UNN.
Lubinets reminds that first of all you should pay attention to what the law "on Consumer Protection"says. According to the law, consumers have the right to:
- exchange a non-food product of proper quality for a similar one from the seller from whom it was purchased;
- a refund is possible within 14 days (not counting for purchase), if the product has not been used and its commercial appearance, consumer properties, seals, labels are preserved.
- always keep a receipt! If you bought the product in an online store, an electronic payment document is issued.
However, it should be borne in mind that there is an approved list of products that are not subject to exchange or return. These are, for example, medicines and medicines, sanguine items.
If the seller refuses to return or exchange the goods, Lubinets recommends contacting the state service of Ukraine for food safety and consumer protection
You can also write an appeal to our institution, which exercises parliamentary control over the observance of constitutional human and civil rights and freedoms, including the state's performance of its obligations to protect consumer rights.
