Biden expressed outrage over the deaths of 7 volunteers of the World Central Kitchen humanitarian mission in Gaza, including one American, calling on Israel to quickly investigate and bring those responsible to justice.

US President Joe Biden has called on Israel to conduct a prompt investigation and prosecute those responsible for the deaths of employees of the humanitarian organization World Central Kitchen in the Gaza Strip. This is stated in his statement released by the White House, reports UNN

I am outraged and heartbroken by the deaths of seven employees of the humanitarian organization World Central Kitchen, including one American, in Gaza yesterday. They were providing food to hungry civilians in the midst of a war. They were brave and selfless. Their deaths are a tragedy

- Biden said.

According to him, Israel has promised to conduct a thorough investigation into why the vehicles of humanitarian workers were hit by air strikes. Biden emphasized that the investigation must be prompt, it must lead to accountability, and its results must be made public.

The US President also noted that this incident is not an isolated one.

This conflict has become one of the worst in recent times in terms of the number of humanitarian workers killed. This is one of the main reasons why the distribution of humanitarian aid in Gaza has been so difficult - because Israel has not done enough to protect humanitarian workers trying to deliver much-needed aid to civilians

- Biden said.

He also pointed out that Israel has also not done enough to protect civilians. According to him, the United States has repeatedly urged Israel not to combine military operations against Hamas with humanitarian operations to avoid civilian casualties.

Biden also emphasized that the United States will continue to do everything possible to deliver humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza by all available means.

"I will continue to press Israel to do more to facilitate this aid. And we're pushing hard for an immediate ceasefire as part of the hostage deal. I have a team in Cairo working on that right now," the American president summarized.
