Former head of "Ukrenergo" Volodymyr Kudrytskyi stated that Russia knows the location of key objects of Ukraine's energy system due to its centralized model. Distributed generation from small power plants is much more difficult to detect and destroy.
Russia is well aware of the location of key facilities of the Ukrainian energy system, because a centralized model with large power plants cannot be hidden. This was stated by former Ukrenergo head Volodymyr Kudrytskyi in an interview with the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center, UNN reports.

According to him, large power plants occupy tens and hundreds of hectares and are publicly known objects.
It is impossible to hide the energy system if it is a centralized system with large power plants. Everyone knows where the Rivne NPP, Khmelnytskyi NPP or Trypilska TPP are located.
At the same time, Kudrytskyi emphasized that distributed generation in the form of a network of small power plants is much more difficult to detect and destroy.
According to him, this refers to hundreds and thousands of small generation facilities - containerized gas stations, small solar and wind power plants that can be placed throughout the country.
Such a network of small power plants is much more difficult to detect and destroy. Even if the enemy damages individual objects, the system as a whole continues to work.
