Prime Minister Shmyhal: World Bank allocates another $1.34 billion to Ukraine

The World Bank is providing Ukraine with an additional $1.34 billion, largely funded by Japan, to pay pensions, teacher salaries, and IDP assistance.
Ukraine will receive an additional $1.34 billion from the World Bank. The money will be used, among other things, to pay pensions, salaries to teachers and support IDPs. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, UNN reports.

According to him, the bulk of this funding package - 1.086 billion - is from the Japanese government. The rest are grants from the United States, Switzerland, and the Ukraine Recovery, Transition and Reform Fund (URTF).
"Financial assistance from international partners gives us the opportunity to ensure Ukraine's macro-financial stability and direct all domestic resources to the needs of our army," Shmyhal said.
