Man who raped 11-year-old boy sentenced to life in prison

The head of a public organization for the sports education of children was sentenced to life in prison for the systematic rape of an 11-year-old boy in Kharkiv and Lviv regions during 2021-22. He pleaded not guilty in court.
The head of a public organization for the sports education of children, who systematically raped an 11-year-old boy, was sentenced to life imprisonment. This was reported by the press service of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, UNN reports.

Prosecutors proved in court that the head of a public organization in Kharkiv region that specializes in sports education for children systematically raped an 11-year-old student during 2021-22.
Initially, the man gained the minor's trust by building a friendly relationship. After that, he began to constantly rape the boy and commit lewd acts against him.
It is noted that in the spring of 2022, due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, the boy and his family moved to the Lviv region, but this did not stop the man. He came to the village, found the boy and continued to rape the child in deserted places.
In addition, the man reportedly filmed "meetings" with the boy on video, which he then stored on his personal laptop.
With the support of the public prosecution by the prosecutors of the Kharkiv and Lviv regional prosecutor's offices, the court found the man guilty of a number of crimes against sexual freedom and sexual inviolability (Article 152, part 6 (four episodes), Article 156, part 2, part 6, Article 153, part 3, Article 15, part 6, Article 152, part 1, Article 301-1, part 3, Article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was sentenced to life imprisonment
Before the sentence was passed, the convict was kept in custody.
He pleaded not guilty in court. The appeal period is currently underway.
The information about the accused will be entered into the register of persons convicted of crimes against sexual freedom and sexual inviolability of a minor, the prosecutor's office added.
