General secondary education institutions in Kyiv will resume the educational process on February 2, with each school independently determining the format of education - in-person, distance, or mixed. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA), writes UNN.

Schools designated as support points, depending on the decision of the pedagogical council, will operate in an in-person or distance format. And if an emergency situation arises and there is a need to use the premises of these schools as support heating points, such institutions will switch to distance learning.

Relevant decisions will be made by pedagogical councils, and by January 30, school principals will inform parents and students about this. Families themselves will be able to choose the learning format that is most comfortable and safe for them, the KCSA adds.

"Our task is to educate children even in these conditions, because education today is part of the country's resilience and our rear," emphasized Deputy Head of the KCSA Valentyn Mondryivskyi.

In Kyiv schools, holidays were announced from January 19 to February 1. They were extended at the expense of spring and a week of summer holidays, the academic year will end no later than July 1.
