In February, the average monthly air temperature in Ukraine will range from 4 degrees below zero to 2 degrees above zero, and the monthly precipitation is expected to be 29-67 mm. This was reported by Ukrhydrometcenter, according to UNN.

The average monthly temperature is expected to be from 4°C below zero to 2°C above zero, which is within the norm in the western, northern, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Poltava regions; in the rest of the country, it is 1.5°C above the norm.

According to forecasters, the monthly precipitation is expected to be 29-67 mm, in the Carpathians in some places 74-83 mm, which is within the norm (80-120%).

Brief climatic characteristics of February

Forecasters' observations show that the average monthly temperature is 0-6°C below zero, in Odesa region, Crimea, and Transcarpathia in some places 1-4°C above zero. The absolute minimum temperature is 23.7-36.1°C below zero, in Volyn, Vinnytsia, Chernihiv, and Luhansk regions in some places 37.2-39.0°C below zero, in Odesa region and Crimea in some places 14.5-21.5°C below zero.

At the same time, the absolute maximum temperature ranges from 12.3 to 21.9 degrees Celsius, and in Odesa, Vinnytsia regions and Crimea in some places up to 23.0-24.4 degrees Celsius. In the high mountains of the Carpathians, the maximum temperature reaches 9.5-11.1 degrees Celsius.

The transition of the average daily air temperature through 0 °C upwards occurs in Odesa region, Crimea and Transcarpathia in some places in the first decade, in the rest of the territory - in the second and third decades of February (in the western, northern, central and eastern regions locally in the first decade of March). The average monthly precipitation is 22-49 mm, in the Carpathians, Transcarpathia, in the mountains of Crimea 53-89 mm, in the highlands 104-108 mm.
