EU ambassadors approved the extension of autonomous trade measures (trade visa-free travel) for Ukraine for another year, but with a compromise that will result in Ukraine losing about €331 million in revenue compared to 2023.

EU Permanent Representatives have today approved the extension of the so-called autonomous trade measures (trade visa-free regime) for Ukraine for the next year. This was reported by UNN with reference to a statement by the Belgian EU Presidency.

There is an agreement between the member states the extension of trade measures will be extended for one year. The starting point is the second half of 2021, so Ukraine will lose approximately €331 million in revenue compared to 2023
