March 25 marks the 32nd anniversary of the SSU. On this day in 1992, the Verkhovna Rada decided to establish the Security Service of Ukraine. Today, the SSU is one of the key components of the Security and Defense Forces. Since the first days of the war, the Service's employees have been fighting in all hot spots and have made an important contribution to the Victory. Thanks to its effective work, the SSU has the highest trust rating among law enforcement agencies today

- the statement said.

SBU Special Operations The SBU conducts special operations on the front line, at sea, in the air and behind enemy lines. Its targets are: enemy manpower and military facilities on the battlefield, as well as war criminals and traitors to Ukraine in the temporarily occupied Crimea and deep inside Russia; logistics routes used by Russians to supply the army; and enterprises that supply the aggressor's military-industrial complex.

The SBU Head Vasyl Malyuk personally coordinates all key special operations and is directly involved in their planning

- The SBU notes.

SSU maritime drones SSU maritime surface drones are a unique development of the SSU. It is a completely new weapon capable of engaging enemy ships and military targets in the Black Sea. It was first used in 2022 to attack ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the Sevastopol Bay. Since then, SSU maritime drones have been constantly evolving and improving.

The SBU's current drones are Sea Baby and Mamai. They are no longer used as kamikaze drones, but as multi-purpose platforms. They can be equipped with different weapons and achieve more complex goals: they are able to complete a task and return back

- SBU reports.

Using maritime drones, the SBU destroyed 11 warships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, which, according to experts, changed the balance of power in the Black Sea in favor of Ukraine and unblocked the grain corridor. And Russian ships are forced to hide in other ports, including Novorossiysk. Impressed by the SBU's special operations, in February 2024, Ukrainians raised almost 300 million hryvnias in two days to build 35 new Sea Babies.

Vasyl Malyuk promised a "hot" sea season for the occupants. Combat work The SBU officers are fighting in the hottest spots of the war (from Zmiine to Avdiivka): they destroy the enemy and his equipment, support the Armed Forces with sniper fire, and adjust artillery. The front line is mainly occupied by the Special Forces of the A Special Forces and the SBU military counterintelligence. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the SBU soldiers have destroyed billions of dollars worth of Russian equipment, including using drones. In particular, they destroyed: more than 800 tanks and almost 1300 infantry fighting vehicles, more than 600 artillery systems, more than 400 electronic warfare and air defense systems.

During the full-scale invasion, SBU officers received over 1200 state awards, including 13 Heroes of Ukraine (9 of them posthumously). Detention of traitors and collaborators The SBU comprehensively counteracts Russian influence inside the country by exposing enemy agents, traitors and collaborators. In particular, since the beginning of Russia's invasion, the SSU has exposed more than 2.5 thousand traitors, more than 6.5 thousand collaborators and accomplices of Russia, as well as more than 470 gunners and adjusters; exposed 47 Russian agent networks.

The police opened 83 criminal cases against 82 clergymen of the UOC (MP) who are engaged in inciting ethnic hatred, collaborating with the enemy and justifying Russian aggression. More than 200 clerics of the Russian Orthodox Church are banned from entering Ukraine

- the SBU reported.

Investigation of war crimes committed by Russia10:41The SBU is investigating war crimes committed by Russian military personnel in Ukraine. Currently, the investigation is ongoing in more than 61 thousand criminal proceedings under Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war).

The SBU is gathering a substantiated evidence base to bring to justice not only the perpetrators of these crimes, but also the military and political leadership of Russia. "In fact, the arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court for Putin, Levova-Belova and two Russian commanders (of the Black Sea Fleet and Long-Range Aviation) show that the SBU's work in this area is bearing fruit. So far, the SBU has already notified more than 1.1 thousand Russian citizens of suspicion, including military commanders, MPs, judges, Russian Orthodox Church leadership, etc.", the service said.

Countering cyber threats The SBU actively counteracts threats in the information and cyberspace. In total, since February 2022, the SBU has neutralized almost 10 thousand cyberattacks and neutralized 80 bot farms.

In particular, the SBU cyber specialists prevented hacker attacks on infrastructure facilities and helped restore Kyivstar after a large-scale cyber attack. SBU cyber specialists also blocked attempts by Russian military intelligence to gain access to the military data exchange systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: locations and movements of the Defense Forces, their technical support, etc

- the service added.

Blowing up the Crimean bridge Sources of UNN say that since the beginning of the large-scale war, the SBU has destroyed most of the myths about Russia, including the Crimean bridge. In particular, the SBU has implemented 2 completely unique and differently conceived special operations to blow up the Crimean bridge from land and sea. Both operations were successful: the first took place in October 2022. The bridge was blown up using a truck with explosives (21 tons of TNT equivalent) hidden in rolls of cellophane film.

Preparations for the operation lasted more than six months. The second time the bridge was attacked by SBU maritime drones was in July 2023. Since then, it has not been fully suitable for the transportation of weapons.

The Crimean bridge is doomed, it is an illegal construction on the territory of Ukraine. Therefore, it has no place here

- Kid stated.

Sources also note that 35 Sea Baby drones are being prepared for a "naval battle" at sea, which all Ukrainians have donated to. The SBU has already shown the first drone from this batch, called Avdiivka.

The SBU is also preparing for new, top-secret operations. As a reminder, the Security Service of Ukraine celebrates its professional holiday today , marking its founding in 1992 and its crucial role in countering Russian aggression, including the Crimean crisis of 1994, the Russian occupation of Crimea in 2014, the fight against pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine, and the ongoing full-scale Russian invasion.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared photos of the work of the Security Service of Ukraine and thanked the SBU soldiers on their professional day.
