Partners to allocate €100 million for Ukraine's winter preparations - what was agreed at the "Energy Ramstein"

Partners will channel €100 million through the Energy Support Fund for winter preparations, announced at the "Energy Ramstein". They agreed to seek additional €829 million and thanked partner countries.

100 million euros for Ukraine's winter preparations will be allocated by partners through the Energy Support Fund. Such commitments were announced today by partners during the "Energy Ramstein" meeting. This was reported by First Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, according to UNN.

At the same time, they agreed to seek additional funding for the Fund in the amount of 829 million euros. This is critically important to ensure the timely allocation of resources to already approved and priority needs, as well as for carrying out procurements
He thanked Great Britain, the EU, Italy, Norway, Canada, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Denmark, and France for their support of Ukraine and leadership on this issue, as well as the Secretariat of the Energy Community for the effective management of the Fund, which strengthens the trust of partners.
During the meeting in the Ukraine Energy Coordination Group format, we discussed our goals and priorities. In the context of preparations for the next winter, the EU's decision on financial support for Ukraine amounting to 90 billion euros is particularly important. We believe that the support and solidarity of partners will help Ukraine get through the next winter as well!
