The court has ordered Oleksandr Dubinsky to be held in custody for 60 days without the possibility of bail. The Member of Parliament is suspected of high treason and the discredit of mobilization efforts.

New High Treason Case: Court Remands MP Dubinsky in Custody Without Bail

A preventive measure has been chosen for People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleksandr Dubinskyi, who is suspected of high treason — detention without bail, UNN reports.

On May 14, 2026, the investigating judge granted the prosecution's motion and chose a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention for a period of 60 days without the right to post bail. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing 

— the Office of the Prosecutor General reported.

Although law enforcement officers do not name the MP, it is likely Oleksandr Dubinskyi.

Addendum

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Office of the General Prosecutor, a pre-trial investigation is being carried out regarding a People's Deputy of Ukraine of the IX convocation, suspected of high treason.

According to the investigation, Dubinskyi distributed materials on Telegram, Facebook, and Instagram aimed at forming narratives beneficial to the Russian Federation, discrediting Ukraine's state policy, and creating prerequisites for disrupting mobilization processes.

On May 5, 2026, the People's Deputy was notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Oleksandr Dubinskyi is a People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation from "Servant of the People."

In 2025, the SBI sent an indictment to court in the case of Dubinskyi and his former assistant regarding the illegal smuggling of another person across the state border of Ukraine. This refers to assisting in the departure of his common-law wife's brother abroad. In 2024, the SBI completed the investigation into high treason by members of a criminal organization in which Dubinskyi was involved. The case was referred to court.
