The report says that according to the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, 604 civilians were killed or injured in March 2024. This is 20% more than in the previous month.

"These deaths are attributed to rocket and missile and air strikes across Ukraine and increased bombardment at the front. The report highlights an increase in coordinated attacks on critical infrastructure, 20 of which have been destroyed  or damaged," the British Ministry of Defense said.

The report reports 57 children killed, twice as many as in the previous month. According to British intelligence,  the increase in casualties is directly related to Russia's use of aerial munitions.

In total, according to the UN mission, 31,366 civilians have died in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war - 10,810 killed and 20,556 wounded.

"These figures underline the enormous cost in lives  as a result of Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine," the British Ministry of Defense summarized.
