Parliament supported the creation of a register of people affected by Russian aggression

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed a bill to create a State Register of Persons Affected by Russia's Armed Aggression against Ukraine.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted as a basis the draft law No. 10256, which proposes to create a State Register of persons affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. This was reported by UNN with reference to MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

Details

According to the explanatory note, the draft law was developed to ensure the creation of the State Register of Persons Affected by the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which will be used t

  • registration of citizens whose lives and health were damaged as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine; 
  • information exchanges between state information systems, in terms of exchanging information on recording damage to the life and health of citizens caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine;
  • accounting of expenditures of the state and local budgets, budgets of social funds related to the provision of assistance and support to citizens affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

Addendum

In December 2023, the Committee on Social Policy recommended to include in the agenda and adopt as a basis the draft law No. 10256, which proposes to create a State Register of Persons Affected by the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
