On Friday, Russia launched its largest attack on Ukraine in recent memory, firing 88 missiles and 63 attack drones, causing extensive damage to energy infrastructure and civilian casualties.
88 missiles and 63 strike bombs were fired at Ukraine by Russians on Friday. These figures were given in the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, UNN reports.
Today, the enemy carried out the largest attack in recent times - during the combined attack, the occupiers launched 63 UAVs and 88 missiles of various types. As a result, a number of regions experienced problems with power supply, and the enemy deliberately targeted our country's energy facilities. Unfortunately, there are many wounded and dead among the civilian population. A number of private and multi-storey buildings were destroyed and damaged, as well as civilian infrastructure. Work to eliminate the consequences of the terrorist attack is ongoing.

The General Staff also clarified that the enemy managed to launch 87 missile and 110 air strikes in total. They also carried out 39 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and settlements.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces also spoke about the current situation at the front. During the day, 57 combat engagements took place. Russians attacked in 6 directions.
In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy, with the support of aviation, made 3 unsuccessful assaults on the positions of the Defense Forces near Synkivka, Tabaivka and Berestove in Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman sector, our defenders repelled five enemy attacks near Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, and Spirne, Donetsk region. Here, the enemy, with the support of aviation, also tried unsuccessfully to break through the defense of our troops.
In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled Russians twice near Klishchivka.
In the Avdiivka sector, our defenders repelled nearly 10 enemy attacks in the areas of Berdychiv, Tonenke, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiane, and Urozhayne, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to break through the defense of our troops more than 20 times.
In the Orikhiv sector, Russians attacked under air cover 7 times. The enemy tried to force our defenders out of their positions near Staromayorske, Donetsk region, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.

Over the course of the day, Ukrainian Defense Forces aviation conducted 13 attacks on Russian positions.
The missile troops hit 2 areas of concentration of the occupiers' personnel, destroyed one enemy air defense system, and hit 4 more important enemy targets.
