Ukraine and Portugal start negotiations on a bilateral security agreement.
Ukraine and Portugal have started negotiations on a security agreement between the countries. This is reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine, UNN reports.

The parties have already begun work on a draft bilateral security agreement, having agreed on a schedule for further negotiations.
The Ukrainian delegation is headed by the Head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak. However, today's round of talks was led by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva.
Special attention was paid to the expectations from the inaugural Peace Summit in Switzerland, as well as to the important role of Portugal in the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula and the involvement of the Global South in this process

The agreement will be the tenth bilateral security agreement that Ukraine has signed with other countries. Previous agreements were signed with the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Denmark, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, Finland, and Latvia. These documents are part of the G7 Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine.
