On the eve of Ukraine’s Independence Day, the leaders of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Norway, as well as other high-ranking officials, arrived in Kyiv. This was reported by Ukrainian and Estonian officials, UNN reports.

Foreign delegations were welcomed at Kyiv Central Railway Station on the morning of August 23, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha reported on his page on the social network X.

It is known that the senior guests will hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as part of the NB8-Ukraine summit.

He noted that the leaders of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Norway, as well as other high-ranking representatives of partner states, had arrived in the Ukrainian capital. During the day, they are expected to hold bilateral and multilateral talks with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

In addition, representatives of Estonia arrived in the Ukrainian capital. The head of the delegation, the country's Prime Minister Kristen Michal, wrote about this on his page on X.

He stressed the need to continue supporting Ukraine in its struggle for independence.

It should be noted that the delegations’ visit to Kyiv is taking place on Ukraine’s State Flag Day and on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the declaration of independence.

The NB8 format brings together five Nordic countries - Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden - and the three Baltic states: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
